Getting a quote

Updated over 3 weeks ago

1. Get your details ready

Before you start, it helps to have a few things to hand. This will make the process quicker and smoother.

Some key information you’ll need:

  • Your car’s registration number

  • Your driving licence details

  • Your driving history (any claims, accidents, or convictions)

  • Your No Claims Bonus details

  • An estimate of how many miles you drive each year

  • How you use the car (just for social use, commuting, or business)

  • Your home address and postcode

2. Get a quote online

We only offer online quotes, you can do this via the Get a Quote button on the homepage of our website.

Once you start the quote:

  • Enter your details into the online form

  • You’ll see different levels of cover:

    • Third Party, Fire & Theft

    • Comprehensive

  • You can also choose optional extras, such as breakdown cover, legal cover, or a courtesy car

3. Choose how your policy works

During the quote, you’ll be able to:

  • Pick when you want the policy to start (today or a future date)

  • Choose your voluntary excess (this will apply in addition to any compulsory excess included by your insurer)

  • Add named drivers

  • Confirm your No Claims Bonus and whether you want to protect it

4. Check the price and the cover

Before you buy, take a moment to review everything:

  • Check the total price and how you want to pay (annually or monthly)

  • Read the key documents, including:

    • The policy summary

    • The Insurance Product Information Document (IPID)

    • Any important exclusions or conditions

5. Confirm your details honestly

You’ll be asked to confirm that everything you’ve told us is correct.

It’s important to:

  • Declare all claims, motoring and non-motoring convictions

  • Tell us about any car modifications

  • Make sure personal details are accurate

Failure to provide any requested information or giving incorrect or incomplete information could mean your policy is cancelled and a claim is refused or not paid in full.

6. Pay for your policy

When you’re ready:

  • Pay securely online using a debit or credit card

  • If you choose monthly payments, you’ll also enter into a finance arrangement with Premium Credit, our finance provider

7. Retrieve a quote

If, for some reason, you are unable to fulfil payment at the present time then no problem. You can pick up where you left off from the Retrieve A Quote button on the homepage of our website.

Important: Your new cover is only active once payment has been made and you’ve received confirmation.

8. Get your policy documents

After payment:

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email

  • You can download your policy documents and certificate of motor insurance via the online customer portal MyPizza

  • Your cover will start on the date and time you selected

9. After you’ve bought your policy

Once you’re insured:

  • Keep your documents somewhere safe

  • Let us know if anything changes (e.g. new car, new address, extra drivers, or changes in how you use the car)

  • Use your MyPizza online account to view documents at any time
