Slice Back Terms & Conditions

Updated over 6 months ago

Definition

The term Slice Back refers to reimbursement of a percentage of the premium paid for the core motor insurance product during the annual period of insurance.

The percentage of the premium to which the policyholder may be entitled to at the end of the annual period of insurance will be confirmed at the beginning of the annual period of insurance.

Eligibility:

This offer is available to Pizza Car Insurance policyholders only.

Minimum requirements

To qualify the policyholder and any named drivers must not have made a fault claim or have had an incident which could result in a fault claim throughout the relevant annual period of insurance.

Timeframe:

The policy must run its full term of 12 months for policyholders to qualify. Early cancellation by either party will result in the Slice Back being forfeited. The policy term will be confirmed within the car Insurance Certificate of Motor Insurance.

Limits:

A percentage stated at point of sale of the core motor insurance product premium will be returned.

Payment Method:

Where a policyholder is entitled to the Slice Back the relevant amount will be deducted from the quoted renewal premium for the core motor insurance product.

If, for any reason, there is no renewal offer or the policyholder decides not to renew the policyholder must request payment of the Slice Back amount within 90 days of the expiry date of the core motor insurance product.

Exclusions:

Where a fault claim occurs the policyholder will not qualify for the Slice Back.

A fault claim is defined as: Fire, Theft, or any incident where the driver of the vehicle insured under the core motor insurance product is at fault or partly at fault for the incident occurring.

The decision as to whether any incident is to be defined as a fault claim rests solely with us.

Processing time:

Where the core motor insurance product lapses the Slice Back will be available 30 days after the policy expires.

Reporting of claims or incidents:

It is important that you report all claims or incidents that may give rise to a claim as soon as possible after they occur.

If when renewing your policy or claiming the Slice Back after the policy lapses you are aware of any claim or incident that may give rise to a claim of which we are not already aware you must notify us immediately.

Fraud:

If there is any attempt to fraudulently claim entitlement to the Slice Back the Slice Back will be forfeit and any products the policyholder has with us at that time may be subject to compulsory cancellation.

If when claiming entitlement to the Slice Back the policyholder is aware of any claim or incident that may give rise to a claim that has not been notified to us and fails to disclose such claim or incident the Slice Back will be forfeit and, if it has already been paid to the policyholder, we will take action to recover the forfeited amount.
